Murmu took over as the deputy 
governor of the Reserve Bank 
of India on Thursday for a pe- 
riod of three years  Murmu will 
look after the department of 
communication  department 
of government and bank acco- 
unts  department of regulation 
and enforcement department  
RBI said in a release  Murmu 
has been with the RBI since 1991 
and as ED worked with the de- 
partment of supervision and 
secretary s department 
The RBI on Thursday also ap- 
pointed Sanjay Kumar Hansda 
as executive director  who will 
begin his term from March 3  
As ED  Hansda will look after 
the department of economic 
and policy research  RBI said 
in a release
